The sun definitely does shine on the righteous! The Oxford Sandy and Black Pig Group (OSBPG) held their first gathering of OSB enthusiasts on Saturday 5 May 2018 by kind invitation from Maggi Gardiner and Charlie Mead of South Worden Farm, Bradworthy. We had fantastic support, scrumptious food and excellent entertainment from Phillip Greenaway!
An auction was held whereby proceeds were shared between the OSBPG help fund and the members choice, Air Ambulance. We raised GBP827.00 through the generous gifts contributed by:
Sallie Wakley – OSB Sculpture
Juliette Hayward – OSB ceramic
Sam Bowden – Deerpark AI
River Cottage – Pig in a day course
Maunders Farm Supply Store, Launceston – wheelbarrow/tools/overalls/pig oil
Lesley Cooper – Jewellery
Andrew O’Shea – Curing Kit
Amanda Lawrence – Pig Whiskey Tumblers
Louise Mackley – 23cm felt OSB pig
Ellie & Chris Paddock – Working with heavy horses at Hitch In Farm, Dartmoor
Richard Bramble – 3 pint OSB Milk Jug
Dennis Ballard – Cynthia OSB Gilt
John Lewis – Orange handbag
Kim Brook – OSB Tea Towel/Apron/bag/finger bowl
We had a tremendous turnout and the support and good will was truly a memorable one!
See you in 2019!
